The people of Las Tunas welcomed the Lumberjacks baseball team.

Thousands of residents of Las Tunas took to the streets of the city on Saturday evening to welcome the Leñadores (Lumberjacks) team, winners of the 62nd Cuban National Baseball Series.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- After a journey of almost 13 hours from Havana, the Red-and-Green Squad that stormed the Latinoamericano Stadium began its journey through the "City of Open Doors" in La Caldosa, where they transferred to about 13 trucks to begin their tour of the provincial capital.

Primero de Mayo Avenue, Vicente García, and Francisco Varona Streets to 30 de Noviembre Avenue, passing in front of the Major General Vicente García Revolution Plaza and joining Estudiantes Avenue. Then they went to the Buena Vista neighborhood, from where they arrived at their headquarters, the Julio Antonio Mella Stadium, to receive the homage and warm embrace of their fans.
