With the last light of the sunset, the Lumberjacks, champions of the 62nd National Baseball Series, rolled through a sea of people along the main arteries of the city, where the Las Tunas family celebrated in style.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- From the outskirts of the city, signs of all the joy to come emerged, a kind of prelude, or perhaps the first traces of a storm of emotions. From the beginning, faces of all ages began to appear as if brushed, as well as the company of mascots, posters, drums, kettles... everything necessary to fill the streets with the taste of victory. And, of course, the popular imagination gave free rein to its ingenuity in fostering countless memories.

With clenched fists and hands raised to the sky or the glory of those moments, the people looked directly into the eyes of their idols, with the visible reflection of gratitude in a province far from this type of event. Meanwhile, in the trucks, the players greeted those who had been the support in defeats and the point of celebration in victories during the season.

After the trip, the Julio Antonio Mella stadium, the insurmountable wall for the rivals, welcomed the red-green team once again, this time to be the highlight of the celebrations. The fans returned to the stands to be part of the show, which culminated in a fireworks display. Before that, Abeysi Pantoja ignited the passion by recognizing the local partials as the best in the country.

Among the tributes, the night caught up with the day and it will be the same next weeks when the two-time champions will parade the trophy through the municipalities. The party goes on, the Lumberjacks deserve it and so do the people of Las Tunas.
