The Cucalambeana Fiesta moved to Puerto Padre.

The Cucalambeana Fiesta whistled Cuban airs this Sunday to turn the blades of culture in Puerto Padre, in addition to paying tribute to the late intellectual Renael González Batista.

Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.- The festivities began hand in hand with history. Through the words of Ernesto Carralero Bosch, the city's historian, those present delved into the life and work of Renael, the greatest defender of the décima and literature in the territory, in a general sense.

A poetry recital, with the leading role of local talent, opened the way to the Guateque, in which various art expressions overflowed with joy. Hats, scarves, and guayaberas adorned the horizon, while various handicrafts also brought the gaze closer to the fields of the Island.

Dances, songs, and costumes of the countryside cemented the traditions in the new generations, in modern times. The older adults cheered for the interpretations of Marisol Guillama, María Victoria Rodríguez, Emiliano Sardiñas, and Luis Paz (Papillo).

The Medal 45 Aniversario del Sistema de Casas de Cultura (45th Anniversary of the System of Culture Houses) recognized Benerado Segura Montero, at the head of the Mexican delegation, and Norma Velázquez Peña.
