Las Tunas' First PCC Secretary after cast his vote in municipal elections

"The vote of each citizen is significant," said the member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) in Las Tunas, Manuel René Pérez Gallego, after exercising his suffrage, this Sunday, in the elections of delegates to the municipal assemblies of the People's Power.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Pérez Gallego highlighted the inhabitants' participation in the nomination process that anticipated the democratic exercise of this Sunday, November 27, when the 151st anniversary of the execution of the eight medical students by the Spanish metropolis is commemorated.

After voting at Polling Station 1, of District 5, the political official honored the memory of the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, a few hours after the sixth anniversary of his death.

"I believe that the people of Las Tunas, and Cubans in general, have motivations to participate and give their support to the Revolution with the vote. It is a commitment, and we are convinced that our people, as they have done in other complex opportunities, will actively participate in this process," he said.

Once again, the first secretary of the PCC in Las Tunas reiterated the call to the polls, in which the power and sovereignty of the people are reaffirmed.
