Vocational training activity at the Luis Urquiza IPVCE

26 went to the Luis Urquiza Jorge Vocational Pre-university Institute of Exact Sciences (IPVCE). It is not the first time that we do it to contribute, at least a little bit, to the vocational training of the students.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Activities on this subject are organized there once a month by academic grade; and those who, like us, work as professionals in different sectors of society participate and contribute to the exchange with young people to help channel, as far as possible, their dreams and aspirations.

Of course, these activities are just the tip of an iceberg as imposing, as it is necessary to pay attention to. Vocational training is one of the many core issues of education because, in a society in which being a university graduate is not always the incentive to a better life, caring for those who are in the quarry of the possible is decisive for the future.

Sitting on the floor, relaxed, dispersed at times, pending on their cell phones, confessing that they "watch very little of the News" and confirming that, yes, social networks are at the center of their interests, this is how the meeting went.

These are always gratifying dialogues. We listen to them attentively because we also grow from their questions, in which they leave us the taste of sniffing out what they think and how they see today's professionals and society as a whole, an environment of which they are part, in one way or another.

We talked about journalism, censorship, and even the World Cup in Qatar. We reaffirmed the complexity of the adolescent universe and the great value of those who are in front of them in the classroom today and do it well, with care.

We welcome activities like this, conceived with freshness for those who will have the responsibility, shortly, of making Cuba a better country.
