The national president of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC, by its Spanish acronym), Ricardo Ronquillo Bello, has reiterated that the country's press system is at the time of its most profound transformation since the triumph of the Revolution.

Meeting with top PCC leaders at the 26 Newspaper headquartersLas Tunas, Cuba.- This is a study experiment to achieve new editorial and business management models, to improve both the contents and the economy of the media and their professionals.

26 is among the 21 institutions immersed in the process, which deepens its management model and socializes experiences; besides proposing ideas to achieve income from the existing potentialities, taking into account the capacities and skills of its staff and other expected alliances, as well as a market study.

Ronquillo Bello has also expressed that "the support of territorial institutions, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), will be essential for the experiment's success."

For this reason, it was no coincidence that Manuel Pérez Gallego, a member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the PCC in the province; together with William Ramírez, a member of the Executive Bureau that attends the ideological-political sphere, headed the first meeting with the media’s board of directors, at the headquarters of the newspaper, to know details about the proposal, ratify the support of the political organization on this path, and define that specific backing.

Pérez Gallego recognized the human and professional quality of the staff as its main strength.
