The Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Defense announced today that they will restrict Singapore's airspace during the summit between the presidents of the United States, Donald Trump, and North Korea, Kim Jong Un.

Singapore.- The restriction will be in effect from June 10 to June 14, 23:59, according to a notice in the middle of the vortex of the preparation of the meeting that generates many expectations because it foresees defining steps towards the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.

Flights arriving at Changi International Airport should reduce speed and face some limitations in the use of the runway 'for reasons of national security,' the notice said.

On average, a flight lands or departs from this airport every one and a half minutes or less during peak periods.

Singapore works in the logistics guided by envoys from the United States and North Korea, especially in security, to ensure the good outcome of what will undoubtedly turn, if it materializes, into a historic event.

If the course of the meeting continues as it is, on June 12 at 9:00 a.m. (Singapore local time), Trump and Kim will talk at the Capella hotel on the island of Sentosa, according to a White House announcement.

'The place for the summit between @POTUS and the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will be the Capella hotel, on the island of Sentosa. We thank our Singaporean hosts for their hospitality, Trump's press secretary, Sarah Sanders'said. (PL)
