The Soyuz MS-09 ship went into planned orbit today with a new crew for the International Space Station (ISS), made up of the captain, including captain Sergei Prokopiev of Russia, Seren Aunion of the United States and Alexander Guerst of Germany.

Moscow.- The spacecraft, launched this day into space by the carrier rocket Sozuz-FG, went into space and began its flight independently. The solar batteries of the Soyuz MS-09 ship were opened and the crew feels good, said Roskosmos director Dmitri Rogozin.

We had contacts with the representatives of the US space agency NASA and the European Space Agency, after which we agreed to maintain the coordination to act as a whole, Rogozin declared.

The new crew will be part of ISS 56/57 expedition.

Last Sunday, the team, made up of Russian Anton Shkaplerov, NASA's Scott Tingle and the JAXA Norishigue Kanai agency, returned to Earth aboard the Soyuz MS-07 spacecraft after landing near the Kazakh town of Zhezkazgan.

According to the Flight Management Center, the cosmonauts stayed for 168 days at the ISS.

Shkaplerov took a Telstar 18 ball to Earth, of which it will be used for the World Cup, to be launched next June 14th in 11 cities and 12 stadiums in this country.

The Russian cosmonaut Oleg Artiomov once brought this football symbol to the ISS to make World Cup broadcasts and show how astronauts also enjoy the sport and take it to space.

The 56th long-distance expedition has already begun its work at the ISS, made up of the American Andrew Foistel, the ship's captain, the flight and cosmonaut engineer from Roskosmos Oleg Artiomov and NASA's Richard Arnold.

The three of them will carry out scientific experiments until the next 8th, when the new crew will arrive at the ship to carry out full-time work.

Russia carries the main responsibility for the flights to and from the ISS and to this end it collaborates with NASA, the JAXA agency and European institutions to work together on this spacecraft, created to replace the Mir, which was originally built by the Soviet Union. (PL)
