The National Reconciliation and Unity Government of Nicaragua (GRUN) ratified its commitment Friday with the fullfilment of the agreements signed at the Negotiating Table, in a consensus with opposition Civic Alliance, a communique said here Friday.

Managua.- GRUN also reaaserted that "each of the points will be ensured with the faculties and powers that the National Constitution and the laws confer on us."

In the text, GRUN once again presented the Working Programme to Consolidate Stability and Peace, in which it sets out nine points to provide a definitive solution to the issues on the agenda for discussion in the Negotiating Table.

Among the most important aspects of the program is the definitive release of all those arrested in connection with the attempted coup of April 2018, no later than next June 18, a measure that also includes those who benefited from the regime of family cohabitation or house arrest. Also the continuity of the work with the Organization of American States to strengthen electoral institutions, maintain the promotion of the Program of Voluntary Return of Nicaraguans Abroad, and Guarantee the Right of Concentration, Manifestation and Public Mobilization, among other aspects.

The GRUN incorporated into the program a complementary four-point plan that establishes the strengthening of the Reconciliation, Justice and Peace Commissions in all territorial divisions based on the Law for a Culture of Dialogue, Reconciliation, Security, Work and Peace.

The procedure also insists on the need to draft a bill for a Comprehensive Plan of Care for Victims that will provide care and reparation to victims and their families for the damages caused by the coup attempt based on the principle of "Forgiveness, No Forgetting and No Repetition."

Finally, it assures that Nicaraguan consulates, diplomatic missions and embassies will provide information and support to people who wish to return to the country in the framework of the GRUN program on the Voluntary Return of Nicaraguans Abroad. (PL)
