The municipality of "Colombia" reported a positive for COVID-19 today

Five new patients were positive for COVID-19 in Las Tunas, four from the capital municipality and one from "Colombia," which adds up to 60 autochthonous cases of the 70 confirmed in the last 15 days, for an incidence rate of 11, 3 for every 100,000 inhabitants.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Three of those diagnosed, from this capital, are contacts of previously confirmed cases; of which two reside in the health area of the Gustavo Aldereguía polyclinic (one on 12 Street and another on 29) and one on Coronel Reyes Street, belonging to the “Manuel (Piti) Fajardo.” The fourth patient, also from "Gustavo Aldereguía", lives on Camilo Cienfuegos Avenue and the source of infection is still being investigated.

The municipality of “Colombia” reports a citizen from the Francisco Caamaño polyclinic area, specifically in the community of El Triángulo.

All the positives reported today are female and show symptoms of the disease.

The municipality of Las Tunas has an incidence rate above the provincial average; therefore, the call continues to be extreme measures in the different scenarios.

Today, 14 outbreaks related to positive cases are monitored, five from the "Gustavo Aldereguía" health area, one from "Guillermo Tejas", five from “Manuel (Piti) Fajardo,” and one from "Alberto Arcos Luque." There is also one belonging to the “Romárico Oro,” in the municipality of Puerto Padre, and one from "Colombia."

A total of 59 travelers are under surveillance; of them, 30 in the community, were discharged with the first and second negative PCR. Likewise, 306 patients are admitted to isolation centers in the province, and 20 positives are in Holguín.

According to the last part, 82,242 people were inquired on the day and 29 had respiratory symptoms. After being treated in the family's medical offices, six suspected cases were identified and referred for admission.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the province accumulates a total of 31,276 PCR tests carried out; 431 positives for an index of 1.4 percent; 498 samples are pending diagnosis, three with more than 72 hours, and 495 with less than that time.
