New Delhi.- The march is to demand a complete farm loan waiver, among other things. The 180-kilometre-long march will reach Mumbai on March 12 with the farmers staging a protest outside the state legislative assembly.
A complete waiver of loans and power bills, implementation of the Swaminathan Commission recommendations, transfer of forest land to those who have been tilling it for years and increased compensation for farmers whose crops were damaged in the recent hailstorms and pink bollworm infestation were their other demands.
