The supplies that arrived in the last few days are only enough for nearly half a million people for two weeks.

United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food Michael Fakhri affirmed that half of the Gaza population suffers from hunger, despite the ceasefire and the entry of more humanitarian aid.

Ramallah.- The official told Al Jazeera television that the food infrastructure in the coastal enclave must be rebuilt and emphasized that the situation in the north is dire.

Fakhri also accused Israel of committing war crimes and genocide in the Strip.

The World Food Program (WFP), in turn, noted that the supplies that arrived in the last few days are only enough for nearly half a million people for two weeks.

We have brought in more than 530 trucks since the ceasefire came into force on October 10, the organization stated, which, however, considered that amount insufficient.

It criticized Israel for keeping several border crossings, such as Rafah, closed. (PL)
