Venezuelan and Bolivian authorities held a meeting in Caracas to review the bilateral agenda of cooperation and solidarity in different political, social, and commercial areas, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry informed on Tuesday.

Caracas.- In a statement, the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the meeting, which took place on Monday, was chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Rander Peña and the Bolivian ambassador in Caracas, Sebastián Michel.

Both officials "coordinated actions to continue strengthening the important bilateral relationship, such as the realization of the Bolivia-Venezuela Binational Joint Commission," the text noted. They also reviewed pending issues in the energy and education sectors.

Part of the discussion was Bolivia's participation in the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World, to be held in Venezuela between June 21 and 24, in the context of that commemoration. (RHC)
