
The younger generation's commitment to the Revolution was reaffirmed during the main event in Las Tunas for the 55th anniversary of the Federation of Secondary School Students (FEEM), held at the Flores Betancourt Rodríguez Agro-Industrial Polytechnic Institute in "Colombia."
"Colombia", Las Tunas.– The school, representative of secondary school students in the province, welcomed delegations from all over Las Tunas. During the ceremony, membership cards for the Young Communists League (UJC) were presented to new members, and organizations with outstanding ties to the organization, such as Education and School Transportation, were recognized.
Marcos Alejandro Torres González, president of the FEEM in Las Tunas, expressed the membership's sentiment. "Each of us is a witness to the achievements in our province, in the promotion of Technical and Vocational Education, up to the integration of youth into productive and cultural processes,” he stated.
Several provincial and municipal centers deserved awards for their achievements. The municipalities of Puerto Padre and “Amancio” received recognition for their work, while “Colombia” was distinguished for its comprehensive approach.
The event concluded with the presentation of a special award to the province of Las Tunas for its outstanding performance. The award, on behalf of the National Committee of the UJC and the National Secretariat of the FEEM, was received by the president of the student organization in the province from Orlando González Hernández, first secretary of the UJC Committee in the Balcón de Oriente (Cuban Eastern Balcony).
