Alliance between TECSoluciones and ETECSA Las Tunas.

In a gesture that reinforces ties between state and non-state economic actors, the private company TECSoluciones donated essential resources to the network infrastructure operated by the ETECSA Territorial Division in eastern Las Tunas province.

Las Tunas, Cuba.– The telephone boxes and reinforced RJ11 connectors for outdoor units, provided by the Las Tunas-based company, will help mitigate the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa in the eastern provinces and support the development of telecommunications in the territory.

The donation ceremony took place at the headquarters of TECSoluciones, a technology company based in the provincial capital, and was attended by executives from both entities. José Luis Yero Gómez, general director of TECSoluciones S.U.R.L., highlighted the company's social commitment and its alignment with the collaborative work policies promoted by the government.

“As technology providers, we share a common interest and affinity with the companies within the Ministry of Communications. Following a visit by the Minister to the region, we were asked to support the country's needs in this sector by guaranteeing access to products and services that are currently difficult to acquire on the international market,” explained Yero.

The executive added that, since its incorporation, Tecsolutions has maintained a policy of affordable prices for public entities that provide services to broad sectors of the local population. They have also donated equipment to educational institutions, assistance centres, and state-owned enterprises. “This donation is our contribution to the recovery of infrastructure damaged by the hurricane,” he emphasized.

For his part, Nelson Reyes, head of the ETECSA Territorial Division, expressed his gratitude for the contribution and highlighted the ongoing collaboration between the two institutions. “This isn’t a recent relationship; we’ve been working together for years. These accessories are in short supply in the country and will be very useful in resolving service interruptions not only in Las Tunas, but also in other eastern provinces,” he stated.

Reyes also announced future collaborative projects, such as the possible installation of Wi-Fi service at the TECSoluciones internet café, an initiative currently being planned by the ETECSA national commercial vice presidency.

The donation is also part of the Cuban government’s efforts to foster productive linkages between the state sector and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs in Spanish), a directive that has been promoted at the highest levels as a way to boost economic and social development under the conditions of the U.S. economic blockade and financial limitations.

With this action, TECSoluciones reaffirms its position as the private company with the greatest technological and social impact in the province, while ccccguarantees vital resources to maintain and expand fixed-line telephone services in eastern Cuba.
