The Renova enterprise (MSME), from Camagüey, is installing the photovoltaic systems.

Amid an energy crisis, the Provincial Directorate of the Banco de Crédito y Comercio (Bandec) in Las Tunas committed to changing its energy matrix to remain operational.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The entity has launched a project to install photovoltaic systems that promise not to diminish the quality of customer service, ensuring operability even at the most critical times of the day.

A team from the Renova enterprise (MSME), based in the province of Camagüey, is working on the task. José Ernesto Santana Álvarez, project manager for the company, explained that "At this moment we are installing two systems; one of 20 kW with 30 kW of battery backup to provide a solution for the emergency circuits of the provincial directorate."

Santana Álvarez indicated that "we will later work on a system for branch 6441 to revitalize the services they provide," thus extending the benefit directly to the offices with the most interaction with the population.

Rodolfo Lester León Jiménez, Communication and Marketing Specialist at the Provincial Directorate of BANDEC, affirms that the installation of these panels is much more than an aesthetic or ecological improvement; it is an operational necessity and a commitment to the community.

"Our goal is to gradually extend this panel installation to all branches in the province so that services can be restored to their usual hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
"Our fundamental objective is to be as close as possible to our clients and to maintain continuous service. This investment will allow us to remain accessible to our clients at all times during these times of crisis," he concluded.
