Las Tunas educational system prepares for the upcoming school year.

To finalize organizational and methodological details, the Las Tunas provincial seminar for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year was held at the Luis Urquiza Jorge Pre-University Vocational Institute of Exact Sciences (IPVCE).

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The meeting brought together the main leaders of the education sector in the province to outline the key aspects of the teaching and learning process and ensure a comprehensive approach to preparing students at all levels of education.

Las Tunas educational system prepares for the upcoming school year.During the event, Osbel Lorenzo Rodríguez, First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), emphasized the need to strengthen political and ideological work in all schools in Las Tunas. The leader emphasized the importance of consolidating the defense of local history as a formative pillar and strengthening ties with families and the community, making these elements cross-cutting tools for the education of new generations.

It was also reported that for the upcoming school year, the educational network will consist of 667 institutions, with an estimated enrollment of 74,218 students at all levels. To guarantee this process, there will be a staff of 19,502 workers, most of whom are dedicated to direct classroom teaching, ensuring the necessary teaching coverage.
