The Trump Administration urged US citizens to leave the Islamic Republic.

U.S. President Donald Trump warned this Monday on his Truth Social account that "any country that does business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a 25% tariff on all business" it conducts with the U.S. According to Trump, the order on this matter is definitive and takes effect immediately. This announcement comes amid ongoing protests shaking the Persian nation.

As White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt explained hours earlier, the president does not rule out ordering airstrikes against the Persian nation, calling it "one of many options on the table for the commander in chief." Trump had threatened to intervene if protester deaths occurred.

Meanwhile, according to The Wall Street Journal, several senior U.S. Administration officials, led by Vice President J.D. Vance, are pushing to attempt the diplomatic option first.

Tehran has accused the U.S. and Israel of organizing recent unrest in some cities of the Persian country—a claim supported by numerous documents, according to the Foreign Ministry. Simultaneously, many Iranians have taken to the streets in support of the current government and against crimes sponsored from abroad.

Iran's nuclear or missile programs are not mentioned in the context of the recent tensions. Media outlets point to the eldest son of the last Iranian Shah, Reza Pahlavi, who has resided in the West for decades, as one of the key supporters of the latest wave of street protests in Iran. (CubaSí)
