Disinfection in the area of the Buena Vista Tank

The province of Las Tunas continues health actions for prevention and control of the new coronavirus. The fumigation and disinfection of spaces with an influx of public are among them, such as the Plaza del Buena Vista Tank and its surroundings.

In the neighborhood of Boquerón, in Puerto Padre, the early morning of August 17 stopped in hugs and expressions of gratitude to the divine and the earthly. Thus, in the midst of the city's quietness, the return home of the specialist in Internal Medicine, Dr. Dixan Negreira Ochoa, one of the brave men of the Henry Reeve Contingent who fought the COVID-19 in Togo, transcended. 

Some 700 PCR in real-time will  be performed during the next days in three blocks

The Defense Council of Las Tunas province agreed to tighten epidemiological surveillance and communal sanitation measures in three blocks of this eastern Cuban city, to keep a COVID-19 family transmission focus under control. 

Nine autochthonous cases of COVID-19 have already been diagnosed during August.

This Thursday, four new positive cases to the SARS-CoV-2 were reported in the province, for which the Health authorities reinforced the epidemic control and surveillance measures in two districts of the Las Tunas capital. The incidence rate of the disease in the territory for the last 15 days thus rose to 1.31 per 100 thousand inhabitants.
