Health authorities in Havana today thanked the arrival and distribution of a shipment of medical supplies sent from Panama, thanks to the management of the Association of Cuban Residents on the Isthmus.
Panama City.- In videos published on his social networks, the coordinator of that group, Humberto Pérez, specified that it is the effort of many associations as Panamanian and Cuban entrepreneurs, as well as solidarity groups in coordination with the Foundation Cabildo de Quisicuaba, Community project headed by Enrique Alemán, a member of the Spanish Parliament who is known for his humanistic and socio-cultural activities.
For his part, Dr Aldo Grandal, head of the Medical Collaboration department of the Health Ministry of the Caribbean nation, pondered that since the Covid-19, Cubans living in the region have contributed with these shipments that make it possible to alleviate the shortages brought as a result of the blockade imposed by the United States.
In turn, representatives from the hospitals Manuel Fajardo, Frank País, Calixto García, and Juan Manuel Márquez (pediatric), in the Cuban capital, along with other centers throughout the country, stressed the great contribution that these vital inputs make to the care processes, which are used in all procedures.
While reaffirming the commitment to this type of humanitarian contribution, Pérez urged the 28 associations that make up the Network of Cuban Residents in Latin America and the Caribbean, entrepreneurs, and solidarity coordinators, to continue with this type of aid, at a time when another container is being loaded from the Columbus Free Zone.
