A Tuesday prime-time news program on Cuban TV aired the following announcement: "The Political Bureau accepts resignation of the Minister of Labor and Social Security."

Havana, Cuba.- As a result of an analysis conducted by the leadership of the Party and the Government with Marta Elena Feitó Cabrera regarding her intervention at the joint meeting of two of the Permanent Labor Committees of the National Assembly of People's Power, she acknowledged her errors and submitted her resignation.

Her request was submitted for consideration to and, subsequently, accepted by the Political Bureau and the Council of State, taking into account her lack of objectivity and sensitivity while talking about topics laid down in the country’s current political and governmental policies on the approach to existing issues, which are never welcomed in our society.
