Bruno Rodríguez: "We will defend Cuba. Those who know us understand this is a firm, categorical, and proven commitment."

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed today that reason, International Law, and the patriotic spirit of a people are on Cuba's side, a nation that has resisted the force and aggression of the United States for 67 years.

On X, the Foreign Minister emphasized that Washington relies on its overwhelming military power and the scale of its economy, plus its vast experience in aggression and crimes. Its pretensions, he said, are aimed at imposing its will over the rights of sovereign states.

Rodríguez Parrilla stressed that Cubans are not willing to sell the country, yield to threats and blackmail, or renounce the inalienable prerogative with which they built their own destiny, in peace with the rest of the world.

"We will defend Cuba. Those who know us understand this is a firm, categorical, and proven commitment," he underscored.

Recently, the Cuban Foreign Minister rejected the current US administration's attempt to impose instruments of domination that treat Latin America and the Caribbean as Washington's backyard.

Regarding the military aggression against Venezuela on January 3rd, Rodríguez Parrilla alerted the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to the reapplication of the Monroe Doctrine, which claims the entire American continent for the United States and has served to justify various military interventions in the region.
