The raven is one of the most frequently mentioned birds in literature. The father of modern short stories and horror, Edgar Allan Poe, made it the protagonist of one of the most famous poems in literature. Guillermo Vidal, one of the fathers of the contemporary tuna story, did the same many years later when he wrote Los Cuervos (The Ravens), Letras Cubanas, 2002, and Sanlope, 2004.

Alfredo Torres Cruz is only 21 years old, but he is already attracting attention for his artistic talents. He recently won the second edition of the El Artista Soy Yo performance contest, and today he is one of those selected to represent Las Tunas at the National Festival of Amateur Artists, to be held in Havana from 11 to 13 August.

Tony Barly's life and work have to be rewritten all the time. Usually, first names mark the introduction, but with him, many things are the exception. Antonio Jorge Barly Martínez, Tony, comes up when we talk about the group Los Zurik, Luz Negra, Luz de Cuba. He comes up whenever we talk about Cuban music.

Clarissa Damila Pérez Hernández, a concertmaster of the Las Tunas Chamber Orchestra and our Symphony Orchestra, is well aware of the responsibility she has on her shoulders. Giudel Gómez, the leader par excellence of both orchestras, is currently working in Egypt, and she has taken over the direction of the former, while the latter has Javier Millet Rodríguez as its assistant conductor. The melodies weave the dreams of this girl and many others that have taken root under these blankets.
