The journalistic guild of Las Tunas is in mourning. In the early hours of this Friday, August 7, colleague Leonardo Mastrapa Androín died in Havana, victim of a sudden illness. Mastrapa served as the main editor and Information Chief at 26 Newspaper, a media in which he worked for 30 years.

The paintings Cargando la esperanza (Holding hope) and América confinada (America confined), by Las Tunas painters Ángel Luis Velázquez Guerra and Wilber Ortega Aldaya, respectively, are among the first places in the 30 best pieces of the International Art Competition on COVID-19, which is currently being held through Internet, based in Barcelona, Spain.
