The institution of higher studies in the Balcón de Oriente was founded three decades ago.

The University of Las Tunas (ULT in Spanish) encourages the comprehensive training of its students from different fields of knowledge and is committed to combining new approaches with traditional methods, through a hundred research projects and more than 640 professors with scientific qualifications.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Since 2022, the law degree has combined classroom knowledge with work experience in the same setting, thanks to a notary office on the Pepito Tey campus that provides multiple experiences in daily work, according to Rafael Pantaleón Hernández, Master of Science and specialist notary, who also runs the office.

It was created to link theory with practice, through a resolution of the Provincial Directorate of Justice of Las Tunas, and in agreement with the university's rector's office, so that the subject of notarial law could be studied in greater depth in this space. Therefore, it is possible to see how a notarial instrument is drafted, what the instruments are, and how the rights enshrined in the legal norm are objectified, said Pantaleón Hernández.

The institution of higher learning in the Balcón de Oriente (Cuban Eastern Balcony), founded three decades ago and after undergoing scrutiny by the National Accreditation Board, reaffirms its commitment to the development objectives and strategic sectors of Las Tunas society.

Similarly, the university community and those who live near the center benefit from the provision of notarial services, such as special powers of attorney, home and vehicle sales, donations, wills, and affidavits, the specialist notary told the Cuban News Agency.

With the pride of a history full of challenges, the ULT continues to be immersed in transformative dynamics, with a view to advancing towards a future of new successes and, above all, with graduates who are up to the task of their times.
