Caracas, Venezuela - I know her since the pregnancy of her mother, when her parents took care with zeal and care until she was born on November 6, 1991. In that time, Cubans were living the Special Period, and in those hard years, she may have lacked material things because of the humility of the family. Nevertheless, she did not lack, I assure you, the maternal and paternal affection that made her the beautiful person she is; a young woman that is committed to her profession and the principles of the Revolution.

Havana, Cuba.- The island maintains control in mother-to-child transmission, in children under 14, in heterosexual men and women, as well as in early detection and rigorous monitoring of cases diagnosed with the disease, Bárbara Venegas, an official from the Department of STIs/AIDS and Hepatitis of the Epidemiology Department said.
