The 147 delegates attending an extraordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of the People's Power in the capital territory of Las Tunas, elected the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the province as a deputy to the Cuban Parliament.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- Walter Simón Noris, who has held the highest political position in Las Tunas for just two months, obtained all the delegates' votes, some of whom expressed before the conditions he has as a political leader, with a work style aimed at solving economic and social problems and advancing the comprehensive development of the territory.
When speaking, Simon Noris expressed the commitment that the new position as a member of the National Assembly of People's Power entails and expressed his decision to fight for the comprehensive development of the heroic people of Las Tunas, with the eradication of deficiencies and the will to fulfill all missions in the complex situation that the country is experiencing.
He also took advantage of the occasion to meet with the Municipal Assembly of People's Power in to explain some details of the eighth plenary session of the Communist Party of Cuba, which has outlined important lines of work to move forward.
This process was preceded by interviews with each of the delegates who make up the governing body in this municipality to learn their opinions on the candidate to fill the vacant position in the Municipal Assembly of the People's Power.
