The Organization of Collective Law Firms (ONBC) in Las Tunas has sought mechanisms throughout 2025 to integrate its professionals into training programs that help them understand the various regulations governing our country.
Las Tunas, Cuba.– Aliubis Fernández González, director of the Collective Law Firm Unit in the capital city, told our media outlet that “We have conducted online courses on various subjects, both criminal and non-criminal. We have received training on topics such as gender violence.
“Currently, we have two lawyers in the province, one from Puerto Padre and one from the municipality of Jobabo, who, through the National Union of Jurists of Cuba, participated in a diploma program on mediation, which is established in our Family Code.”
“Mediation is a very important term that has been incorporated into our work system for about three years. It seeks to provide a way to mediate situations of violence that may occur, eradicating them without having to resort to a judicial process,” the lawyer concluded.
In this eastern province, the training of legal professionals is a priority aimed at complying with the principles of due process and, at the same time, providing legal support services that meet their clients' needs.
