The blockade is the largest genocide in history

This June 23, when Cuba presents at the United Nations General Assembly, in New York, its report “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba," a people expect justice.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- For 28 years the international community has supported the just claim of the Greater of the Antilles. However, the unilateral and unfair measure still stands, exacerbated under the Donald Trump administration, and overwhelming at present, when the world is reeling with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bruno Rodríguez Padilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, will present the important text to put in the plenary the arguments that validate the nation's condemnation of the cruel policy of the North American government. This vote was carried over from last year due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.

WE RECOMMEND
Updated addendum to the Secretary General´s Report on Resolution 74/7 of the United Nations General Assembly entitled, “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba"

Very attentive to the radio and television broadcasting of the momentous United Nations event, the people of Las Tunas - and all Cubans - are waiting for the vote to reject once again the economic, commercial, and financial genocide that has caused damages amounting to more than 144 billion dollars during six decades, besides to increasing the impact effects of the COVID-19 by preventing this island from buying mechanical lung ventilators, masks, diagnostic kits, reagents, and other supplies to face the deadly disease.
