Journalists from Las Tunas celebrate Cuban Press Day.

The provincial ceremony for the Cuban Press Day was held at the Vicente García Memorial. It was presided over by Osbel Lorenzo Rodríguez, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province; Governor Yelenys Tornet; Adalys Ray, President of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC); and other authorities.

Students and their leaders met young soldiers completing the Active Military Service.

The Student Bastion event was held in Las Tunas, organized by the Federation of Middle School Students (FEEM, in Spanish, to increase patriotic, military, and internationalist work among young people and strengthen ties with the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR).

Academic workshop held in 26 Newspaper.

The 26 newspaper staff held an academic workshop this Wednesday as part of activities commemorating Cuban Press Day, celebrated on March 14.

Las Tunas Red Cross susidiary received the Labor Prowess Flag.

The Cuban Red Cross commemorated the 117th anniversary of its founding. The Balcón de Oriente (Cuban Eastern Balcony) became a space for tribute and gratitude from the solidarity and discipline that characterize the valuable people of Las Tunas who volunteer to safeguard life and property in exceptional times.
