12th graduation ceremony of the Rita Longa Pedagogical School, Las Tunas.

The Las Tunas educational system now has 164 new teachers after the 12th graduation ceremony at the Rita Longa Pedagogical School in this city. These teachers complete their study years and begin their journey into the classroom, starting next September, tasked with passing on knowledge to the next generation.

Las Tunas, Cuba.– After a training period filled with awards and merits in her academic and scientific performance, María Emilia Ávila Avilés earned the Lucero de Pedagogía Special Distinction (Bright Star of Pedagogy), the highest award given by the school to students with outstanding performance over four academic years.

“Thank you for trusting in youth, for entrusting us with the difficult task of educating. That's why we take on the challenge of sharing our knowledge, under the demands of current times,” said Ávila Avilés on behalf of the graduates, who received their diplomas from their families.

With 31 years of teaching experience, Madelaine Reyes Fernández has contributed to the development of skills among various generations of teachers, hence the presentation of the Sculptor of the Future award honored her work in the classroom.

Students with outstanding results in the various specialties deserved recognition, as well as the institutions involved in the teaching process, which concluded with several victories in national competitions and historic records for the institution, after surpassing three thousand graduates in just 11 calendar years.
