Copextel Las Tunas installs solar panel modules at homes.

A total of 580 workers and four Heroes of Labor of the Republic have received solar panel modules thanks to a sales program managed by the Copextel Las Tunas Branch. This not only contributes to energy and cost savings for those benefited, but also promotes the adoption of renewable energy sources in homes.

Las Tunas, Cuba.– Ailín Yaneisy Rodríguez Castillo, the entity’s commercial manager, told 26 that "The process is activated once Copextel receives the official and approved lists of beneficiaries from the governing bodies. The sale is processed individually and directly at our branch, and any available payment platform can be used to purchase these modules."

Copextel offers pay facilities to those benefited.Recognizing that the total cost may represent a challenge for some, Copextel's Commercial Management has established a credit mechanism. “If the beneficiary worker does not have that full amount, they are granted financing.”

"For this, the Company provides a prefecture; the applicant must present two co-signers. Once the loan is approved, the amount is deposited onto the beneficiary's card, who must return to the Copextel offices to finalize the payment," Rodríguez Castillo stated.

The solar panels have a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects and are installed by Copextel Energy Brigades, which guarantee expert installation. With these panels installed in their homes, owners should consider some key technical specifications for optimal installation and maintenance.

The 800W panel requires a minimum flat surface of two meters long by 0.80 meters wide. The 1200W panel, on the other hand, requires a minimum flat surface of 2,30 meters long by 1,20 meters wide.

A crucial aspect for the performance and durability of the equipment is that the installation area must guarantee at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per day.

The power connected to the equipment (between 800 and 1200W) must be strictly adhered to. Improper handling due to overloading can cause damage. Damage to the equipment is not covered by the warranty, which only applies to manufacturing defects.

For maintenance, the recommendation is simple but important: clean the equipment with a dry cloth when there is no direct sunlight to avoid potential electrical accidents.
