The Law School at the University of Las Tunas has achieved a historic milestone: certification by the National Accreditation Board, a recognition that validates the quality of its curriculum and commits the university community to maintain and surpass the standards achieved.

Las Tunas, Cuba.– This achievement, attained through the joint efforts of students, professors, and legal institutions, marks a starting point for addressing the challenges of legal education in contemporary society with greater rigor.

Ana Rosa Aguilera RodríguezDuring this academic period, the program has been immersed in processes characteristic of higher education, as reported to our publication by Ana Rosa Aguilera Rodríguez, head of the Law Department at the university.

“Our mission is to provide legal professionals trained to serve society, and this commitment guides every step. One of the key indicators of this period has been the professional development of the faculty, who are motivated to raise the quality of teaching and the preparation of students.”

“Numerous professors have participated in international events, postgraduate courses, and master's programs. Furthermore, scientific training has been promoted through doctoral programs in Legal Sciences and Educational Sciences, thus strengthening the academic profile.”

“The intention is to be better every day in the classroom and contribute more effectively to the education of our students,” stated Aguilera Rodríguez.

The social commitment of the program has also been reflected in the active participation of students in community and legal impact projects, collaborating with local institutions and organizations, which has earned them recognition from these entities.

Despite the progress, the challenges are numerous. The program must continue to raise the quality of education, promote legal research, and adapt its methodologies to current demands. “There are many challenges, but the most important thing is that we have clarity about where to direct our efforts: to ensure that legal education is better every day,” he concluded.
