Beijing, China. - La cercana visita a esta capital del primer secretario del Partido Comunista de Cuba y presidente de la República, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, fortalecerá las relaciones bilaterales, vaticinó Cai Wei, director general de América Latina del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de esta nación asiática.  "Confío en que va a lograr éxitos y extender la paz y el desarrollo de las relaciones entre ambos países", afirmó.

Este lunes, la Cancillería china confirmó que entre el 24 y 26 de noviembre Díaz-Canel Bermúdez realizará una visita de estado, por invitación de Xi Jinping, secretario general del Comité Central Partido Comunista de China (PCCh) y presidente de la República Popular. Cai Wei significó que la estancia del estadista antillano es la primera visita de un mandatario de América Latina y el Caribe después del vigésimo Congreso Nacional del PCCh; por lo que tiene, afirmó, un significado trascendental.

El primer secretario del Partido Comunista de Cuba inició el pasado 16 de noviembre un periplo internacional que antes lo lleva por Argelia, Rusia y Turquía. "Durante estas jornadas estaremos trabajando intensamente para afianzar vínculos económicos y políticos que nos permitan seguir promoviendo el desarrollo de Cuba. En otras palabras, continuar construyendo el horizonte de bienestar que nos merecemos", expresó.

Durante un contacto con periodistas latinoamericanos y caribeños, el director del Departamento de América Latina del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de China comentó en que la igualdad, el beneficio mutuo y la búsqueda del desarrollo conjunto son los principios que guían la política de su país con respecto a la región. "Abogamos por el fortalecimiento de los intercambios y aprendizaje mutuo entre las civilizaciones", insistió. Al tiempo que reiteró el rechazo de Beijing a las sanciones unilaterales que EE.UU. ha impuesto a Nicaragua y Venezuela, así como el bloqueo económico estadounidense contra la Mayor de las Antillas.
