The summer season has been presented as a season of joy and delight in which children, adolescents, and young people will be the main protagonists, after a period of intense work and studies.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- Zenia Ross, head of the Programming Department of the Provincial Directorate of Culture, told 26 that like in the entire country, the communities are at the center of the work of cultural promoters and art instructors, mainly those in transformation.
"In the main city, there are fixed areas such as the Cultural Plaza, the Remembrances Plaza, and the Multi Sports Hall, which is dedicated to youth. Similar spaces with artistic and literary presentations have been designed in other areas, mainly for weekends. In the mornings, sports specialists organize various recreational activities."
The Huracán Mágico company and the Los Zahoríes Puppet Theater scheduled tours in cinemas, parks, plazas, and socio-cultural circles of the rural areas, as well. Puerto Padre Will host an Electronic Music Festival, which is a very popular musical style on the beaches. Cinemas and video theaters have prepared a stable program with invitations to community events.
“On the third Sunday of July, Children's Day, the main activities will take place in the Amusement Park-Zoo complex, as well as in other parks and plazas in the municipalities,” said the director. “In addition, we will celebrate the Day of National Rebellion with dances, and celebrations are planned for the International Day of Youth (August 12), the birthday of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro (August 13), and the anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (August 23).”
The Provincial Branch of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) has organized several creative workshops to contribute to healthy recreation and cultural development during these months. Among the proposals are a literature workshop, which can be attended by people of different ages; and a dance workshop, which will accept those over 15 years old. For children over 6 years old, the pyrography workshop Entre Luz y Sombra will be held, and for teenagers, a song workshop will open, directed by singer-songwriter Jesús Ricardo Pérez Cecilia.
