The Las Tunas Post Office Company is consolidating its infrastructure of 47 service units, organized into 12 basic business units, achieving more agile management and closer ties with the population. With more than 21 million pesos in extra cash, the institution has facilitated basic financial transactions and services, providing convenience and stability to the residents of Las Tunas in their daily lives.

Las Tunas, Cuba.– One of the most significant advances is digitalization, with 87 percent of its units now computerized, which streamlines processes and reduces waiting times. Furthermore, the company has actively participated in the country's energy transition. Currently, it has three units operating with solar panels, guaranteeing service continuity during power outages and making it the first in the country to implement this sustainable alternative within the sector.

Esteban García Guerra, the company's general manager, affirmed that this year holds special historical significance: "We are in the centennial year of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, so every effort made is aimed at honoring his legacy; the achievements attained are part of that commitment."

Among the projections for 2026, the manager mentioned the establishment of agreements with higher education and technical-professional training centers in the province, to train workers and modernize processes. They also seek to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of economic and financial management to certify accounting in the coming year, as well as increase and consolidate the portfolio of products and services.

During the annual review meeting, Douglas Leyva López, president of the Cuban Postal Service Business Group, emphasized the need to promote electronic payments. "Mail carriers must carry QR codes and promote the postal service's online store; this not only modernizes the service but also contributes to the company's economic growth," he stated.

With a clear strategy of technological innovation and energy sustainability, Las Tunas Post Office is moving towards a more efficient management model, without losing sight of its social commitment and its tribute to the nation's historical figures. The combination of renewable energy, digitalization, and professional training is paving the way for a postal service that meets the demands of the modern age.
