In the heart of the municipality of Majibacoa, where the sun shines brightly on the panels of the Blanca Rosa photovoltaic solar park, Keilan Pérez Rodríguez performs a fundamental task with precision and dedication. She is the compass that guides the resources and accounting of this strategic energy project.
Majibacoa, Las Tunas.– With 17 years of experience in the economic sphere, first in the base business unit (UEB, in Spanish) of the Majibacoa Electric Company and now in the solar park, Keilan accepted the new challenge without hesitation. "When they asked me to come, I was very much in favor. I like what I do, and it was something new that I was going to devote myself to," she confesses with a serene smile.
Since March 10, her job has consisted of organizing, controlling, and monitoring every accounting movement, with special attention to resources from Chinese donations. “It is of great importance and vitality to us. I take care of all the accounting, check the final destination of the resources, and keep the park manager informed.”

Blanca Rosa Photovoltaic Solar Park: Another Step Towards a New Energy Matrix

Working in a predominantly male environment has not been an obstacle, but rather an experience of mutual growth. “It's a great team. They always look out for me because I'm the only woman, and I keep up with everything with them. I like being here, in the field, watching and learning. Respect flows naturally. Everything works well, both from them towards me and from me towards them.”
Her family's support has been key. “They have always supported me in everything. Here I have experienced intense days and shared achievements.”
Keilan not only keeps the accounts; she also carries the certainty that her meticulous work is vital so that the clean energy generated in Blanca Rosa feeds the National Electric System. She is an example of dedication, adaptation, and rigor in a sector key to the country's future.
