After the business event, as part of the 5th International Scientific Convention and Expo Fair 2025 of the University of Las Tunas, it was announced that this Forum will be held annually. This is the culmination of an aspiration to promote dialogues and alliances between the different economic actors and the academy.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- This fifth edition focused on promoting exports and import substitution in an increasingly competitive market, which businessmen from Las Tunas must face with tools that guarantee effective and efficient development.
The starting point of the panel was to deepen the work of the National Center for Containers and Packaging. The institution specialists emphasized that this is a regulatory entity, designated to evaluate and establish, for example, the characteristics of labels or product packaging, facilitate partnerships, and provide knowledge of the standards that govern this activity.
Another topic discussed was e-commerce because of its potential for business and marketing opportunities; also, the legal standards for the creation of MSMEs and the method of accelerated reproduction of loquat for exportable purposes, for its wide demand in the international market.
The delegate of the Foreign Trade Chamber in the Holguín-Las Tunas region, Carmen Julia López, shared good practices for participation in international fairs, informed about the facilities offered, and encouraged businessmen to be prepared and master their commercial strategy.
The tight agenda of the Forum, in addition to the time allotted for the presentations, limited the necessary exchange of opinions and doubts at the closing. However, in the future, the leaders of companies and businesses in the region will recognize this scenario as a way to learn from theory and practice in various areas of the economy.
