Preserving the cultural heritage and historical memory of Jobabo constitutes an essential work for the Rosendo Arteaga Guerra Municipal Museum.

Jobabo, Las Tunas.- The institution is digitizing its mostly deteriorated documentary funds,  which allows the safeguarding of valuable information about this southern municipality. Currently, the appraisal of all the pieces preserved in its rooms is also carried out.

This process is slow for the wide flow of data used but progress has been made in the computerization of the History and Culture sections. This work is expected to be enriched with images and other multimedia content.

The Jobabo's Museum celebrated on September 26 the 40th anniversary of its inauguration, in a building initially constructed to be a hotel.
