Pieces ellaborated by artisans from Las Tunas

The branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets in Las Tunas participated in the FIART 2022 International Crafts and Gifts Fair, which concludes in Havana this December 20.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Its stand at the Pabexpo exhibition site boosted the proposal for beauty and utility in the creations of artisans from the province, who defend a tradition rooted, above all, in the weaving of natural fibers.

The large handmade baskets by Alexandri Milanés stand out, with great demand in the Fund's store here for their use in homes.

Yudith Góngora, a specialist of the institution, details that pieces by Roberto Lavandeira, Carlos Téllez, José Luis Peña, Heberto Ramos, and Nivia Rodríguez were added, all with good reception and demand.

Bags, organizers, small trays, and wood carvings, as well as ceramics and some lamps, were part of the sample that came to the event, dedicated to recycling in its 24th edition.

The Balcón de Oriente (Balcony of Eastern Cuba) has joined the event these days with the FIART Echoes Fair, in the Cultural Plaza, with a multiplicity of options for the family.
