Puerto Padre's Cuban Post Office.

The Cuban Post Office in the northern municipality of Puerto Padre became the first local state entity to self-supply its own electricity through solar energy.

Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.– With the operation of the photovoltaic solar panels and the inverter with storage batteries, the Post Office staff at the Villa Azul (Blue Village) began their journey as pioneers in the world of renewable energy sources.

The investment, financed through bank loans, allocated through cooperation projects, allows the company not only to maintain the continuity of its services but also to contribute to the National Electric System.
