Prevention and control measures are implemented. The preparation of the personnel that works in the schools, as well as the students and their families, is one of the most replicated measures in the educational sector of this province, given the presence in Cuba of the COVID-19.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Magloiris Turruelles López, head of the Department of Specialized Educational Activities of the Provincial Directorate of Education, told 26Digital that in Las Tunas 100 percent of managers and workers have already been trained, and more than 60 percent of families, with extensive information about the characteristics of the condition and the sanitary-hygienic measures that the Ministry of Public Health regulates.

Health hearings have become common spaces in educational centers, with the collaboration of specialists from the health areas in which they are located. This is achieved, said Turruelles López, from the integration between both sectors with a cyclical implementation schedule, which enables the systematization of this important issue.

In each locality, the close communication relationship that must exist between the Health area, the school, and the closest medical office is emphasized, in order to report daily absences to the schools that are related to respiratory infections. All this has the purpose of controlling the virus contagion in time.

Several days ago, 26Digital announced that a circular signed by Nílser Piñeda Cruz, the highest authority here for Education in the province, prohibits entry to educational facilities of students, family members or workers who present any symptoms associated with fever or flu. It also guides a rigorous daily investigation in order to guarantee the timely detection of some of them.
