The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Army General Raul Castro, exercised his right to vote here on Sunday in the national elections to choose the lawmakers for the National People's Power Assembly (Parliament).
Havana, Cuba.- After voting in Havana’s Playa municipality, he met with community residents and members of the polling station, according to national television.
The revolutionary leader was nominated as a parliamentary candidate from the 2nd Front municipality, in eastern Santiago de Cuba province.
Cuba is electing the members of the National Assembly on Sunday when 8,120,072 have been summoned for the polls to elect 470 lawmakers to Parliament, who will have the responsibility of electing the president and vice president of the Republic and continuing with the legislative development of the Constitution.
