Havana, Cuba.- Both leaders highlighted the close relations between Mexico and Cuba, as well as recalled moments of our common history, especially the welcome that Cuban patriots have always had in Mexican lands.

The Army General acknowledged the important contribution of president López Obrador to the development of bilateral ties with Cuba and the necessary Latin American and Caribbean integration, highlighting his contribution to this cause during Mexico's Pro Tempore Presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC, by its Spanish acronym).
