The World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2023) in Shanghai showed the profound impact that this technology has on numerous industries.

Beijing.- Under the theme “Intelligent Connectivity, Generating the Future,” more than 400 exhibitors showcased a wide variety of products related to artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, the meta-universe, smart chips, and autonomous driving.

Scientists, entrepreneurs, government officials, and experts exchanged for three days on smart terminals, application empowerment, and cutting-edge technology.

At the opening ceremony, Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk assured via videoconference that AI will play a profound role in the future of human evolution and civilization.

He also warned about the possible risks of this technology for society and commented that regulation will be key to its future development.

According to specialized media projections, China will spend more than 14 billion dollars this year on developing artificial intelligence and will thus have 10% of the world’s investments in this sector. (PL)
