Las Tunas Universal Company is in charge of the distribution of donations from the province and other parts of the country for the victims of the effects of the hydrometeorological events at the beginning of June.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Yamilet Crespo Bello, commercial director of the entity, explained to the press that, by indications of the highest authorities of the province, they are the ones in charge of receiving all the donations that are destined for the victims of the territory, mainly for the inhabitants of the municipalities of Jobabo, Colombia, Amancio, and Manatí.

"The distribution of clothing, footwear, and toiletries began a week ago. The comrades of Manatí, Jobabo, and "Colombia" have received a part, and deliveries continue with "Amancio," thanks to the will of the population to support those affected.

"The top management of the country and the Ministry of Domestic Trade has allocated mattresses for these people, roofs for the most damaged houses, and other products that should arrive gradually to the province."

Last year's experience, after the effects of Hurricane Ian in the province of Pinar del Río, has served as an experience for the workers of Empresa Universal to collect a greater amount of products and distribute them with more agility.

"Initiatives have been sought in the affected localities so that delivery is not delayed. There is solidarity and we are in a position to contribute to everything so that the resources arrive in the shortest possible time."

"At this time, we have a mission with our province and we are satisfied to know that we are doing well. The workers do not understand schedules and make the necessary efforts to reach each community; there is a willingness to face the task. We have also provided services to the province of Granma, which suffered similar damages with the heavy rains."
