A total of 13 judges were sworn in at the Provincial Popular Court of Las Tunas, for which they were invested by agreement of the People's Supreme Court (TSP in Spanish) at the Major General Vicente García Revolution Plaza.

After this important moment for the highest authorities of law here, there was a meeting between all the judges of the eight municipalities to discuss topics of interest in different areas, such as the new content of the Family Code and the procedure they carry out as guarantors of the law in decision making.

AN ASIDE FOR LEGISLATIVE REFORMS

The year 2022 represented a new stage for the Island's legislative framework. This is demonstrated in each of the legal norms approved and put into effect during this period, which reflect the beginning of another era in this sector.

Elvia Laritza Cruz Hernández told 26 the need for this training for its professionals in the context the country is going through. "The elements to be addressed by our specialists are proper of the Tribunal, some deficiencies found in the internal evaluations made to the appeals, and to study the indications of the TSP as a whole with the different subjects. "In this space, not only issues related to families will be reviewed, but also civil, labor, and social security matters."

Regarding criminal matters, Dayanai Justiz Batista, president of the Incident Chamber explained everything related to the control activity, the same that was previously regulated by several instructions issued by the highest organ of justice of the nation since 2001.

"In May, as a result of the modifications in the control activity and the course of life itself, it was necessary to modify that instruction, and all the previous ones were repealed, leaving the instruction 282 of the TSP Governing Council of 2023."

"The same consists of the manual of good practices for the development of the control activity to those persons who are serving punishment in Freedom, who receive some benefit of release or who extinguish in Freedom, also, and are controlled by the judge of execution.”

The following space was dedicated to the evaluation of evidence, the argumentation of the sentence, and the participation of the victim in the judicial processes from the new judicial reform.
