The 2024 Affidavit Declaration and Tax Payment Campaign has presented delays.

Knowing the financial situation in particular and advising on tax issues are the main objectives of verification by the Tax Administration Office (ONAT) in Las Tunas to the micro, small, and medium-sized companies (MSMEs) that declared losses or inoperative at the end of 2023.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- On March 31, the voluntary period established for the declaration of profits of the business system concluded. The 470 state entities, although the majority did so in the last days of the campaign, fulfilled this fiscal obligation, reported authorities from the Provincial Taxpayer Assistance Office.

Of the new economic actors, the four non-agricultural cooperatives and the 109 MSMEs also attended within the agreed period. In the latter's case, 11 declared losses and 10 were declared inoperative.

Those corresponding to the first group belong to the municipalities of Manatí, Jobabo, Jesús Menéndez, Colombia, and the provincial capital. The second group are from Majibacoa, Jobabo, and Las Tunas.

The current Affidavit Declaration and Tax Payment Campaign has presented significant delays in Las Tunas. The main municipality, with the largest number of taxpayers, heads the list of laggards; on the other hand, Manatí is the most advantaged. The situation in the agricultural sector is also alarming.
