Xi expressed optimism about the ambassadors’ role in strengthening bilateral relations

Chinese President Xi Jinping called to strengthen cooperation and friendship with the countries whose ambassadors presented their credentials, including Cuba and Nicaragua, here on Tuesday.

Beijing.- In a speech before the diplomats, the head of State greeted the governments and peoples of each representative and expressed readiness to expand mutually beneficial relations based on equality and shared gains.

Xi also expressed optimism about the ambassadors’ role in strengthening the collaborative bonds and building a communication bridge in bilateral relations.

“This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China,” he stressed, adding that China is making progress in building a strong and prosperous country as well as in the national rejuvenation in all aspects through modernization.

In his opinion, this means a larger market and unprecedented development opportunities for the world.

Xi referred to the tense international scenario and said that China strives to contribute its wisdom and solutions to the cause of peace and development.

The president reiterated Beijing’s position in favor of an egalitarian and orderly multipolar world and a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization that promotes the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity.

Among the ambassadors who presented their credentials were Alberto Blanco Silva (Cuba), Michael Campbell (Nicaragua), Maria Soledad Cordova (Ecuador), Salvador Moncada (Honduras), Hugo Siles (Bolivia), and Arthur Williams (Jamaica). (PL)
