The Palestinian Government demanded Israel, on Wednesday, open all border crossings to accelerate the entry of more humanitarian aid into the war-torn Gaza Strip, which is suffering an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

Ramallah.- In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates accused Israeli authorities of obstructing the entry of essential goods for 2.3 million people living in the northern coastal territory.

Israel’s approach of allowing the opening of sea routes and preventing the passage of aid by land aims to perpetuate the occupation, the Ministry denounced.

The text also criticized attempts to separate the West Bank from the Gaza Strip and expel the population from their ancestral lands.

The Government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu closed all access from his country to the coastal enclave after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.

Amid a wave of international condemnation over the famine and shortage of medicines, opening a sea corridor from Cyprus to Gaza has taken strength since late last year. (PL)
